MVCAA is hosting its 2012 Poverty Symposium & Community Champions Luncheon on Friday, May 18th from 9 am - 2 pm, at MVCC Utica Campus. This year's Symposium, "Learning to Earning" is co-chaired by Anthony Picente and Howard Mettelman and features Morris Dees, legendary Civil Rights Activist, as the keynote speaker. The Luncheon will honor 5 community achievers:  Jawwaad Rasheed,Treva Wood Community Activist; Mindy Dosztan, Community Achiever; Jacqui Y.C. Schmidt, Community Visionary; Craig Grant and Kathleen Rinaldo, Community Builders.  Tickets are $50 for both events; tables of 8 are available at the luncheon.
