Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency, Inc. is dedicated to empower families toward positive self-sufficiency.


Vision Statement

Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency is the place where everyone is welcome, treated with respect and with dignity.  No one is ever turned away.  It is our goal that everyone leaves our doors feeling valued, respected and knowing that they are not alone.

  • Access to opportunities at MVCAA will be seamless and easily available to families.
  • We believe that all people deserve support and have strengths.
  • We will always offer encouragement that will help people feel more confident and hopeful.
  • We will provide our services consistently and with compassion.



MVCAA is a member of the National Community Action Partnership, which is the largest national organization representing the interests of CAAs and other private and public groups organized to fight poverty at the local level.

MVCAA is also a member of the New York State Community Action Association (NYSCAA) that is dedicated to the growth and education of Community Action Agencies in New York State to sustain their efforts in advocating and improving the lives of low-income New Yorkers.
