Construction Crew Foreman

Status

Full time

Description

The Crew Foreman must be able to lead crew of 1-2 laborers in the installation of energy conservation materials  and diagnose energy reduction needs for residential buildings.  Must be able to maintain a safe work-site, follow safe work practices, recognize work-site problem areas, report same to supervisor – and ensure crew members do likewise.

 

Major Job Functions:

  • Analyze, repair, replace and install energy conservation measures/components according to work scopes, under contract deadlines, and ensure crew members do likewise.
  • Track tools, materials, parts, inventory, etc. according to Agency policies and maintain them in good working order – and ensure crew members do likewise.
  • Complete data/testing measurements and paper work correctly, neatly and on time.
  • Train new employees in safe, productive and efficient work processes.
  • Use training, experience and initiative to implement measures on difficult projects, to coach and motivate crew on conduct of job duties, and to supervise crew effectiveness.
  • Attend and participate in required internal and external trainings and tool box meetings.
  • Maintain current NYS driver's license and adhere to the rules of the road.
  • Treat co-workers with respect, flexibility, and professionalism.

 

 Qualifications:

  • One (1) to three (3) years experience in construction, energy, conservation, or related field.
  • Ability to organize, schedule, perform and supervise work and crews.
  • Ability and desire to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to comprehend basic forms.
  • Ability and desire to learn & perform data/testing measurements as required by the Program.
  • Willingness to attend trainings and to obtain BPI certifications within 1st year of employment.
